The unfortunate truth is that everyday accidents cannot be completely avoided. Jelgava is not an exception, and every day there is someone who needs the assistance of emergency services. The Jelgava City Municipal Operational Information Centre (MOIC) coordinated by the Jelgava City Municipal Agency Pilsētsaimniecība has been a great support to the people of Jelgava in addressing various non-standard situations. The MOIC operation and communication with emergency services and population has now been improved by developing the statistical platform http://stats.pilsetsaimnieciba.lv where you can find the current information about the overall daily statistics on accidents in Jelgava.
The primary goal of the system is to provide the emergency services with the access to the most objective and accurate information on the accidents in the city and their circumstances in order to develop a methodology for prevention of accidents taking into account the established interrelations. The records of the emergency data based on the calls received by the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), the State Emergency Medical Service (SEMS), the State Police (SP) and the Jelgava City Municipal Police (MP) have been maintained since 1 October 2014.
Since everyday accidents can affect anyone, we offer you the opportunity to gain an idea of the work of the emergency services in this city: from now on, the already compiled and current information will be available on this platform.
Go the section "Reports" and find out what accidents have happened in Jelgava.
Let us use our joint forces to reduce the number of everyday accidents in this city!
The statistical platform http://stats.pilsetsaimnieciba.lv has been developed as part of the Baltic Everyday Accidents, Disaster Prevention and Resilience Project (BaltPrevResilience). For more information on the project please visit: https://www.msb.se/baltprevresilience.
